This coordination includes, and is not limited to, providing a secure and responsive environment, embracing the opportunity to maximize physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth.

The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation including the overall supervision, scheduling and coordination of all staff.
Job Requirements This job requires a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent in professional or life experience with individuals having Developmental and/or Intellectual Disabilities.
The manager must have the ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership, emotional maturity and patience necessary to understand and accept the social, psychological and emotional needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to nurture self-sufficiency and quality of life.
Managers must possess good oral and written communication skills, computer skills, be age 18 or older, and possess an acceptable driving record and hold a valid driver's license.
The manager must have the ability to represent HopeTree in a positive manner.
Job Responsibilities 1.
1.
Provides day-to-day oversight to ensure appropriate staffing levels and activities that promote an organized and positive environment.
Twenty-four hour emergency availability for DSPs.
2.
Makes independent decisions in regards to best practices, quality assurance, risk management and problem solving.
3.
In partnership with supervisor, has working knowledge of 12VAC35-105; 12VAC35-115; and 12VAC35-122.
This includes promoting rights, reporting serious incidents and general compliance with all regulations, DDM Policies/Procedures, and HTFS Employee Handbook.
4.
Is able to model and coordinate person-centered, least restrictive and community-integrated philosophies and supports.
5.
Organizes and ensures timely assessment in all aspects of an individual's life.
This includes coordination with CSBs and other providers to assess risks, abilities, SIS, medical needs and identification of generic as well as HTFS supports.
6.
Promotes an active circle of support, including the individual, AR, family members, and staff that work closest with the individual to collaborate and advocate annually and as needed to develop independence and services in the least restrictive environment.
Ensuring communication as needed within the circle of support and with supervisor.
7.
Develops a written reflection of the goals and supports identified in number 5 (above) consisting of thoughtful and meaningful activities directed towards independence, community integration, healthy lifestyle, and wellness.
8.
Ensures the completion and/or review of required documentation including development of measurable goals and methods to achieve goals; quarterly reviews; modification of goals with any change in condition or circumstance; assessment of success; and required daily/weekly/monthly progress notes and accurate support services records.
9.
Coordinates with supervisor to hire Direct Support Professionals who will work best in the environment and will best meet individuals' needs.
10.
Ensures timely submission to supervisor and CSB case management of the ISP, quarterly review and any necessary modifications to the ISP.
11.
Ensures an environment that promotes health and safety through scheduling all identified needed medical appointments, lab work, and well visits; assisting with, attending or arranging for medical supports; documentation of changes in medical condition and needed supports; and communication to families, staff and supervisors regarding any medical needs or services rendered.
12.
Reinforcing skills learned by DSPs during medication administration training.
This includes, but is not limited to, checking in medications, privacy during medication administration, a process free of medication errors, and completion of related documentation.
Providing any training identified necessary to ensure medication administration is completed adequately.
13.
Demonstrates working knowledge of and complies with DDM policy on Handling Participant's Funds and Business Office Procedures.
14.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of, complies with and models DDM policy on HopeTree's System to Prevent Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation.
This includes training, identification, reporting, protection, investigation, and response.
Complies with HTFS DDM Code of Ethics.
15.
Demonstrates the ability to coach, teach and mentor DSPs in all aspects of home management as outlined in this job description and the job description of the DSP.
Completes timely and accurate DSP evaluations and submits to supervisor for review.
16.
Provides supervision to each DSP as demonstrated necessary, which includes weekly observation and at least monthly documentation of supervision.
Provides immediate remediation and training as identified necessary.
Arranges for at least monthly meetings with all staff to ensure consistent and pertinent communication regarding services and supports provided.
17.
Ensures adequate coverage of the home 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, which may include manager providing direct support as needed.
Monitors and manages staff PTO usage and overtime.
18.
Implements, completes and submits to supervisor all job responsibilities as assigned on the Manager Checklist, including audits, emergency and disaster preparedness, maintenance and safety needs.
19.
Carries out responsibilities and duties in a manner that is professional, timely, effective and efficient, including other duties as assigned.
20.
