Wave Planning Specialist:
Principal Accountabilities:
This position is responsible for analyzing the order pool in the warehouse management system (PKMS) and generating waves (orders consolidated by specific parameters such start dates, sku count and DC capacity which are released to the DC floor) and will position the DC Operations to meet service level agreements.
Key
Responsibilities:
This position exists to plan the workload based on start and stop ship date compliance, and labor and freight variables.
This position ensures the timely release and processing of daily downloaded orders.
Generate waves based on order queue in a manner that ensures maximum level of productivity and flow Identifies inefficiencies in workflow between replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping Monitors order queue and ensures balance between let down, replenishment, and picking Assists wave planners on assigning and monitoring each wave Updates the Wave Schedule Tracks progress of distribution Follows through with all tasks, assignments and job duties in a timely manner Run ad hoc reports Physical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 20lbs Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions May require several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs and stairs, and reaching, or bending Education / Experience / Skills Required:
High School diploma or GED equivalency required; higher education preferred Experience with PKMS; ASA/Leads preferred Previous experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Crystal Report preferred Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Ability to communicate effectively with variety of individuals Ability to pay close attention to detail Strong communication and organizational skills Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language What's in it For You We're in the business of unleashing human potential, driven by the ideas, energy and commitment of our people.
